Santa Barbara CA

Thomas and I are not the biggest campers, however we both do love nature and love to experience new things! AirBnB hunting has easily become one of my new favorite hobbies. Looking for unique places locally to escape to is a new found love, our first amazing getaway was at Terra Moon Amore a stunning 11 acre retreat in Santa Barbara CA.

Day One:

We arrived Sunday around 2pm into the most gorgeous oasis. There was no cellphone service and no wifi on the property! Could not have been a more perfect time to unplug and unwind. Oh and it is pet friendly!!! We spent the first couple hours exploring the property, jumping on trampolines and sitting in swings by the pool. Finally retiring to a huge comfy hammock outside of our glass box immersed in nature! We loved laying together in that hammock letting our dog Brody explore through the wilderness (near by us of course) listening to country music and talking about life under the trees. We packed a ton of snacks and groceries, and stayed in the first night showering under the stars in an adorable wooden outdoor shower. Then we made sandwiches and laid in bed watching the night sky around us!!!

Day Two:

We awoke with the sun (we didn’t want to close the curtains at night) and got ready to go to the beach! We stopped at a cafe off main street called Dawn Patrol SB, had a huge yummy breakfast and drove to Arroyo Burro Beach. We have never taken Brody to a dog beach before…oh my gosh did he love it!!! Running off leash with other dogs playing in the water I don’t think Thomas and I have ever smiled so much while standing nervous hoping everyone else’ dogs were friendly too! We spent hours playing with him in the sand and then went for a long walk down the coast.

Backyard Bowls on the way back to our Oasis was too yummy after spending ours in the sun!

We got back to Terra Moon, and relaxed for awhile before getting cleaned up to venture out to findsome dinner! We are huge yelp hunters so after searching for a place to eat we found an amazing art space/brewery/restaurant Lama Dog & The Nook. We came back to our dreamy glass room early exhausted from the day and snuggled up watching the night sky and fell asleep!

Overall we had such a lovely experience and of course it wouldn’t have been a LJ&TK trip without a fun video of the whole experience! Make sure to check out our travel diary as well as some exclusive photos and subscribe to email newsletters and notifications for our next trip coming soon!
